New Heritage espag handles from Mila

Mila has combined its product design skills and vast market experience to create a brand-new range of Heritage espag handles, which are both consumer and fabricator friendly. They have all the elegant design touches which buyers of traditionally styled windows are looking for, combined with up to the minute Secured By Design security accreditation.

As the market for traditionally styled sculptured, chamfered and flush sash windows continues to grow, Mila has developed a new range of Heritage espag handles which enable fabricators to satisfy that demand with an easy to fit and easy to sell solution.

Available in both Monkey Tail and Pear drop designs, and in both left and right-handed options, the new Mila handles very much match the traditional aesthetic. They even come with a range of fully suited peg stays and faux butt hinges to complete the overall look.

What makes Mila’s Heritage range stand out from the crowd though is the intelligent design features which mean they are as secure and easy to fit as conventional espag handles. For instance, they incorporate an in-build latch mechanism which overcomes the potential security vulnerability affecting many other traditionally styled handles when they are fitted on flush sash windows and in the unlocked position.

They also feature a simple push-to-fit screw cover with a faux clocked screw, which saves time on installation but maintains the authentic styling which consumers love, and they have a conventional push-button locking mechanism, which comes with a beautifully designed rosette dead lock key.

Mila’s Managing Director Richard Gyde explained: “Demand is still surging ahead for timber replacements, flush sashes and coloured PVC-U, but fabricators need a hardware solution which is quick and easy to fit and lets them maintain strong margins. These Heritage handles fit the bill perfectly. They look great and of course come with all the Mila guarantees on security, performance and durability, so fabricators and installers can fit and forget.

There are nine classic and modern finishes to choose from in the new range, including a traditional textured effect in either black or pewter, as well as matt black, white, polished chrome, polished gold, satin chrome, pewter patina and antique bronze.

The Heritage handles have been independently tested to PAS24 and are Secured By Design accredited and come with a 10-year guarantee on both performance and finish.
